Globacom will elevate the 2026 Ofala Festival with a glittering royal banquet honoring His Royal Majesty Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, Agbogidi.
The event will feature live bands, top musical acts, and stand-up comedy, promising an evening of music, laughter, and celebration in tribute to the Obi of Onitsha.
The evening’s entertainment line-up features musicians Ikem Mazeli and Boy o Boy, backed by the Groove Band, with comedian MC Ezegetive bringing humour to the gathering. Ejiamike Obiozo will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
Boy o Boy Onwuatu, known for songs including Eselu Na Enu Mmili, will serenade guests with contemporary Igbo sounds, while Ikem Mazeli is expected to add to the musical experience. MC Ezegetive, whose comedy draws on everyday experiences and the humour of South-Eastern Nigeria, will provide entertainment.
For Globacom, the banquet is an opportunity to celebrate Onitsha’s rich cultural heritage while bringing people together through music, comedy and shared experiences.
As the kingdom celebrates the Ofala season under the leadership of Igwe Achebe, the event promises an evening that brings royal tradition and contemporary entertainment together.
