Gov Inuwa releases N556m for implementation of Go-Cares projects in Gombe

Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, has released the sum of N556 million for the implementation of the second batch of intervention projects of the Go-Cares programme.

General Manager of the Gombe State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Malam Haruna Ahmed Imam, made the disclosure during the commissioning of a block of classroom and office, renovation of classroom office as well as graduation ceremony of pupils of Walin Kwami Primary School Palta, kwami Local Government Area. 

The General manager stated that so far, CSDA had constructed and furnished 17 blocks of classrooms, constructed 15 primary health care centres, 30 VIP toilets, 23 boreholes, one Earth rain water harvester and provided nutritional complementary food to 4,000 beneficiaries under the second phase of the programme.

He therefore appreciated the state governor, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya for the prompt release of the funds And the commitment he had shown towards the GO-CARES Programmes.

The General Manager also commended the member representing Kwami West in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Siddi Buba, for the concern he has shown towards the project even as he congratulated Palta Community for benefiting from the project.

He advised them to take ownership of the project by making good use and properly maintenaining the facilities provided by the Go-Cares programme.

Some stakeholders of the community who graced the occasion, showered encomiums on the governor for the release of the funds and also appreciated him for providing the dividends of democracy to the populace, especially the GO-CARES project which they said, is touching the lives of the poor and vulnerable. 

They include, the Gombe State Deputy Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Baba Abuja; Hon. Siddi Buba; Professor Sale Abdu Kwami, Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Rural, Community Development and Cooperatives  Alhaji Suleiman Musa; Representative of the Gombe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Alhaji Yuguda; and the District Head of Kwami, Alhaji Musa Abdu II.

They also commended the CSDA, which is one of the implementing platforms of the GO-CARES programme for its hard work, dedication and delivering on its mandate. 

The commissioned projects were constructed by the Gombe State Community and Social Development Agency through the Palta women Group.
