Breaking: Osimhen allegedly banned from national team until…

Victor Osimhen

Nigeria's Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has been allegedly banned from playing for the national team until he apologizes for publicly criticizing a football legend, Finidi George, according to reports making the rounds

The reports have it that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has taken this drastic measure to deter other players from disparaging national heroes and legends. According to a member of the NFF board in the now circulating report, Osimhen's actions were unacceptable and would serve as an example to prevent similar incidents in the future.

An unnamed board member who allegedly disclosed this yet to be confirmed position, stated that Osimhen refused to retract his statements despite being called by Finidi George to explain himself. And that he explained actually led to the ban.

According to the unnamed board member, NFF has declared its intention to use Osimhen's case as a deterrent to maintain discipline and respect within the national team. The ban will remain in place until Osimhen apologizes for his actions, he explained, stressing that "Osimhen won't be in the team until he says sorry for his actions.
