Ese Brume, a Nigerian athlete, has won the gold medal in the women's long jump event at the African Athletics Championships in Douala. This victory sees Brume undefeated for eight years in Africa, thus solidifying her dominance in the sport.
Brume's final jump of 6.73m surpassed Marthe Koala of Burkina Faso, who finished with a jump of 6.72m.
Koala took the silver medal, while Prestina Ochonogor of Nigeria finished fourth with a jump of 6.28m.
