Sade Olatoye wins silver in women's hammer throw at African Championships

Sade Olatoye, Nigeria's hammer throw queen, narrowly lost the African title in the women's hammer throw event at the ongoing African Athletics Championships in Douala, Cameroon.
Olatoye had thrown a distance of 67.72 meters, leading the competition with that mark. However, Algeria's Zahra Tatar outdid her with a throw of 67.82 meters, securing the top spot and the gold medal.

Despite the loss, Olatoye's silver medal marks her third medal for Nigeria this year. She had previously won two medals in Ghana, one in the shot put and another in the hammer throw.

This impressive performance solidifies her position as one of Nigeria's top athletes in the sport.
