GAC Motors, a leading automobile company, gifted award-winning artist Davido and his newly-wedded wife Chioma luxury vehicle as a wedding gift.
The vehicles (some reports say they are two) included a family Caravan M8 GAC worth over ₦75 million and an SUV, the GAC GS8, reportedly worth ₦150 million.
Both cars, the report also states are 2024 models. The lavish gift was presented during the high-profile #CHIVIDO2024 wedding, which has been the talk of Nigerian social media in recent days.
Guests at the event were also reportedly given Samsung Galaxy Z Fold phones worth ₦1.6 million each as souvenirs.
Davido and Chioma's wedding has generated significant excitement, with many Nigerians expressing hope that international artist Chris Brown would attend as one of Davido's groomsmen.
However, GAC Motors disclosed its gift in a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, June 25, 2024
The caption read, “GAC Motor Nigeria Gift Davido & wife a brand new GAC Motor 2024 GN8 MPV as a wedding gift.

The white SUV with the tag CHIVIDO was unveiled on Tuesday, after the couple received blessings from their parents at their wedding in Lagos.
The ceremony was attended by family, political dignitaries and entertainment stars, among others.
The couple’s wedding has been building up excitement on social media with the hashtag #CHIVIDO2024 since the duo released their pre-wedding photos.
Photos and videos from their wedding in Lagos on Tuesday are also rapidly circulating and trending on social media.
