Former President Olusegun Obasanjo recently met with Senator Remi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, at Eko Hotel in Lagos.
This meeting was not at the Presidential Villa in Abuja or at her home, but rather a chance encounter at the hotel, a source that aims at clarifying the circumstance that led to the photograph in this story, explains.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo did not meet the First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja or at home, the source states. “He only met her by coincidence at Eko Hotel in company of Mrs Abba Folawiyo.”
Obasanjo, it was gathered had an event at Eko Hotel on Sallah Day, and the First Lady too had an event that day. Mrs Folawiyo, a long time friend of Obasanjo, then told the former President that the First Lady was around.
He then honoured the First Lady by seeing her at the venue in company of Mrs Abba Folawiyo. They both talked on the situation in the country and sent a message to President Bola Tinubu, through the First Lady, Mrs Remi Tinubu, Newsmart learnt.
