American sprinter, and Harvard-educated sprinter, Gabby Thomas, triumphed in the women's 200m final at the Paris Olympics, securing her first major title with a time of 21.83 seconds.
Thomas outpaced St. Lucia's Julien Alfred, who finished in 22.08 seconds, while teammate Brittany Brown earned bronze at 22.20 seconds.
At 27, Thomas is the first American woman to win this Olympic event since Allyson Felix in 2012.
Her victory follows a bronze in Tokyo and a silver at the 2023 World Championships, solidifying her status as a top competitor in track and field.
