It’s silver medal for Nigerian-Bahraini sprinter Salwa Eid Naser in 400m


Salwa Eid Naser, born Ebelechukwu Agbapuonwu in Onitsha, Nigeria, has made headlines by winning a silver medal in the 400m at the Paris 2024 Olympics, clocking 48.53 seconds.
 

Domininican athlete Marileidy Paulino - clinched gold running 48.17 seconds to set Olympic Record. Polish sprinter Natalia Kaczmarek won bronze in 48.98 seconds.


Naser, who attended Ado Girls Secondary, School, Onitsha and won the Nigerian School Sports title in 2013, moved to Bahrain in 2014. 

Her journey from Nigeria to Olympic success highlights the potential of Nigerian athletes on the world stage, inspiring many with her remarkable achievements in athletics.
