Faith Kipyegon has made history by becoming the first athlete to win three consecutive Olympic gold medals in the 1500m, achieving a stunning new Olympic record of 3:51.29 at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Kipyegon, already a two-time champion from 2016 and 2021, executed a brilliant race strategy, overtaking competitors in the final lap and actually leading most of them to setting national records.
Australia's Jessica Hull and Great Britain's Georgia Bell secured silver and bronze, respectively.
Known as the "Queen of 1500m," Kipyegon aims to inspire young athletes, reflecting on her journey from running barefoot to Olympic glory.
