Team Botswana narrowly missed out on gold in the men's 4x400m relay at the Paris 2024 Olympics, finishing with a remarkable silver medal.
Letsile Tebogo, who anchored the team, made a valiant effort but was unable to overtake Rai Benjamin of the USA, who secured victory with an Olympic Record of 2:54.43.
Botswana set a new African Record with a time of 2:54.53, while Great Britain claimed bronze, achieving a new European Record of 2:55.83.
The Botswana team consisted of Bayapo Ndori, Busang Collen Kebinatshipi, Anthony Pesela, and Letsile Tebogo, with Tebogo also earning a gold medal in the 200m event earlier in the Games.
