Amid the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests, Russian and Japanese flags were prominently displayed in Jos, Plateau State, on August 4.
This marked the fourth day of demonstrations, where a faction of protesters, mainly youths, urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to assist Nigeria.
Similar sightings of Russian flags were reported in Kano, where this trend initially began, with protesters expressing their desperation for international support in their fight against poor governance.
“We are Nigerians, Russia; we need your help,” reads an inscription on one of the flags.
