BBNaija S9: Victoria makes it to Week-9, weeps following Kassai’s exit

Victoria after Kassai’s eviction

By Rose Moses

Following last night’s eviction at the Big Brother house, September 29, 2024, the cool, classy and soft spoken housemate in the ‘No Lose Guard Season 9 edition of the show, Victoria, is still standing at the Big Brother House.

After being nominated for possible eviction every week of the season, victorious Victory is in the finals of the Big Brother Season 9!

But her bestie, Kassai, the only housemate she bonded well with, and also nominated along with every week for eviction, finally left the Big Brother house on Sunday.

So, news of her making it to the finals was received with mixed feelings. On the one hand, she was happy to have made it to the finals and on the other, unhappy that the journey for her bestie, Kassai, with whom she had stood up for possible eviction every week of the season, ended this Sunday. So Victoria wept because, like her, she also wanted for Kassai to have survived this one last time eviction process.

Victoria’s sadness is very understandable, more so, when she's likely going to spend the next seven days in the house with some vile, toxic, mean and complex-challenged housemates like Onyeka, who’s aligning with Wanni, as well as a sly Nelly, who coordinates Anita and Sooj unclear characters.

In other words, Victoria, who by the way, is naturally very comfortable in her space, will have just Kellyrae and Ozee to interact freely with in that house for the one week left on the show.

Already, Onyeka, Wanni and even Nelly, have started making some snide remarks on how lonely Victoria will be in the house. Although Wanni’s beef is all about how Kassai and Victoria did not join them in standing up against the briefly reintroduced evicted housemates - Dami, Rhuthee and Chinwe - who reappeared in the house to ‘pepper’ some of the current housemates - Onyeka, Nelly, Wanni, and even the Mbadiwe twins.

While Wanni, who lost her voice, literarily, and practically went in to hiding while the visitors were in and took control of the house, may be confused as to what her beef with Kassai and Victoria was, Onyeka, whose toxicity is even extended to her own senior sister, chizoba, on the international show, had been obsessed with Kassai and Victoria. She had for long been on their matter over the revelations of her gossips by Kassai and by extension, transferred her anger to Victoria.

In other words, Onyeka is on a familiar terrain with an unfinished business. She’s very happy with what she delusionally believes to be Victoria’s misfortune and downfall.

But of course, what Onyeka and co. failed to see is the strength behind the cool, soft-spoken and their presumed weak and slow character that is Victoria. She’s obviously a very strong character in the most intelligent, responsible and responsive manner than they will ever decipher.

To fans who do not see anything wrong with Onyeka and co, here’s how some netizens are reacting, which is apt: “It’s funny cuz they have so much to say now that Victoria is down because her best friend left. Meanwhile last week by this time, it’s this same Victoria and Kassia y’all claim are ev!l, were pampering and cooking for your fave (wanni) that was down because her people left #BBNaija.”

Hopefully, Victoria, like the more focused and responsible character she is, will put Kassai’s exit behind her, ignore the detractors and focus more on her game this final week.
