Qatar honors President Trump with rare fighter jet escort on Air Force One arrival

President Donald Trump’s arrival in Qatar was marked by a spectacular and rare show of respect as Qatari F-15 fighter jets escorted Air Force One into Doha’s airspace.

This ceremonial escort, a gesture reserved only for leaders held in the highest regard, underscores the deepening strategic ties between the United States and Qatar.

As Air Force One approached Hamad International Airport, the fighter jets flanked the presidential aircraft, flying at nearly 600 miles per hour. In a unique moment of mutual admiration, a Qatari pilot snapped a photo of Air Force One, which was then shared by the White House communications team.

This escort followed a similar honor received by President Trump just a day earlier in Saudi Arabia, where six Royal Saudi Air Force F-15s accompanied Air Force One.

These gestures highlight the importance Gulf nations place on their relationship with the United States amid ongoing diplomatic and military cooperation.

President Trump’s Middle East tour, including his visit to Qatar, focuses on strengthening military and economic partnerships, with scheduled talks with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The visit also comes amid discussions of a significant aircraft gift from Qatar to the U.S., a move that would be unprecedented and symbolizes the close ties between the two countries.

Dan Scavino, White House communications director, captured and shared these impressive moments from Air Force One, expressing gratitude for the warm reception
