In an interesting turn on Big Brother Naija season 10, housemate Joanna boldly rejected a romantic advance from fellow contestant Victory, choosing to prioritize her independence rather than entering a relationship.
Earlier on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Victory, who had previously shown interest in Joanna, Gigi Jasmine, and Sultana, sought the help of Joanna’s trusted friend Rooboy to communicate his feelings.
Rooboy invited Joanna to the garden to deliver Victory’s message on his behalf. However, Joanna questioned why Victory couldn’t express himself directly.
Victory explained he wanted to distinguish Joanna from the other women he was interested in. Despite admitting that she reciprocates some of Victory’s feelings, Joanna stood firm in her decision, emphasizing the importance of maintaining her individuality during her stay in the Big Brother Naija house.
