Osimhen’s first Champions League hat-trick powers Galatasaray’s 3-0 victory over Ajax

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen delivered a stunning performance, netting his first-ever Champions League hat-trick as Galatasaray dominated Ajax 3-0 on Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles forward opened the scoring with a powerful header in the 59th minute. He then calmly converted a penalty just seven minutes later, and sealed his hat-trick with a second successful spot-kick in the 78th minute.

This marks another impressive outing for the 26-year-old, who had already scored twice in Galatasaray’s previous Champions League match, a 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt.

In total, Osimhen has scored 12 goals in his last eight European appearances for the Turkish champions. This latest victory is Galatasaray’s third consecutive win in the competition, including a memorable triumph over Liverpool where Osimhen scored the decisive goal.

The Nigerian forward is clearly in scintillating form, continuing to make a major impact on the continental stage.
