Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, celebrated his 72nd birthday on Saturday, December 27, 2025, with a vibrant thanksgiving service at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Gboko, Benue State.
He made his first public appearance alongside his new wife, Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh, just 24 hours after a family member publicly confirmed their marriage.
In a statement from Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the SGF (OSGF), Akume emphasized that “accountability among the three tiers of government” is essential for sustainable national development.
He further stressed that national progress demands collective effort and synergy across federal, state, and local levels.
