Renowned broadcast journalist Amb. Paul Damgbor has been appointed Acting General Manager of Rivers State Television (RSTV), bringing over 30 years of media expertise to lead the station.
His illustrious career spans high-level roles at RSTV, including Head of Reportorial and Director of News, as well as Press Secretary to a former Deputy Governor of Rivers State.
Damgbor also served four years as Director of Special Duties in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and contributed to various key committees, positioning him to drive innovation and excellence at RSTV.
A seasoned journalist, Amb. Damgbor has also held key positions in Rivers State government ministries, including Director, E-Library/Archives in the Ministry of Information & Communications and later deployed to serve as Director, Documentation, Office of the Deputy Governor.
A respected member of the media community, Amb. Damgbor is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration (FCAI) and a member of the Nigeria Guild of Editors. He recently chaired the 2025 World Press Freedom Day celebrations in Rivers State.
Amb. Damgbor holds a Bachelor's degree in English (BA, Hons) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication.
His appointment is expected to further enhance RSTV's commitment to delivering quality journalism and broadcasting services to the people of Rivers State and beyond .
