FG hits Ozekhome with new forgery charges in UK property scandal

The Federal Government has slammed fresh criminal charges against prominent senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mike Ozekhome, accusing him of using a forged Nigerian passport in a contentious UK property dispute.

Authorities filed a 12-count charge against Ozekhome at the FCT High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The second defendant is Ponfa Useni, son of the late former FCT Minister, Jeremiah Useni.

This comes after the same court recently struck out similar charges brought by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) on the matter, following a withdrawal by the Attorney-General of the Federation.
