Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu has thanked President Bola Tinubu for appointing her as Nigeria’s minister of foreign affairs, calling it a profound vote of confidence.
The announcement came Wednesday, April 29, 2026, elevating her from her prior role as minister of state for foreign affairs to replace Yusuf Tuggar.
In a statement, she expressed deep gratitude: “I’m truly honoured” to take on the role, adding, “I am truly humbled by your trust and confidence in my abilities.”
Odumegwu-Ojukwu vowed to advance the administration’s “4D Foreign Policy Priorities” under the Renewed Hope Agenda, alongside citizen diplomacy efforts.
