Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared unwavering focus on transformative governance Wednesday April 8, 2026, unveiling three landmark projects with just over 400 days left in his administration.
President Bola Tinubu, represented by Senate President Chief Godswill Akpabio, did the commissioning.
“With just over 400 days left in this administration, we remain focused on making every day count,” Governor Sanwo-Olu stated. He noted that out of the 2,922 days entrusted by Lagosians, more than 2,500 have been dedicated to improving the state, guided by the foundational example of past leaders.
The highlight was the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, a mobility game-changer for one of Lagos’s most congested corridors. “This new connection will ease congestion, shorten travel time, and make daily life less stressful for thousands,” the governor emphasized.
The Lagos Geographic Information Service Building advances land administration by replacing paper-based systems with transparent, efficient digital processes.
Meanwhile, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex consolidates government services, boosting coordination, speeding delivery, and enhancing the workplace for public servants.
“These projects reflect how we approach governance: focusing on real problems and delivering practical solutions that people can see and feel,” Sanwo-Olu said. He thanked engineers, contractors, and committed public servants, while pledging no slowdown. “In the time we have left, we will keep building and keep working to improve the quality of life for every Lagosian.”
The governor expressed pride in achievements so far and gratitude to President Tinubu, whose “leadership and reforms continue to make a real difference, not only in Lagos, but across Nigeria.”
These unveilings underscore a determined final push, cementing Sanwo-Olu’s legacy of visible progress.
