Top Nigerian political and civic figures attended the church service for Anthony Adeosun, husband of former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, held Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The service took place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Trinity Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Anthony, a respected businessman, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 62, the family said in a statement issued by Rev. C. A. Adeosun. The statement described him as a devoted Christian who touched the lives of many.
Notable attendees included former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife; former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola; former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi; Florence Ajimobi, widow of the late Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi; former African Development Bank President Akinwunmi Adesina; and Dr. Zacch Adedeji, Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, among others.
Mr. Adeosun is survived by his wife, Kemi, their children, and his siblings, including Kuramo Capital founder Adewale Adeosun. Following the church service, the family held a private burial.
