President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja on Friday, November 6, 2026, for a two-state visit covering Akwa Ibom and Rivers States.
The trip will begin in Uyo, where the President is expected to commission projects delivered by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally.
Governor Umo Eno has declared Friday, November 6, a work-free day across Akwa Ibom State to enable residents and civil servants to participate fully in the reception for President Tinubu. The declaration is intended to ensure a rousing welcome for the President during his visit, the organizers say.
After the Akwa Ibom engagement, President Tinubu will travel to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, November 7, to take part in an All Progressives Congress rally. The visit combines infrastructure commissioning with political mobilisation ahead of future elections.
The announcement was made in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
Among the projects President Tinubu scheduled for commissioning in Uyo are the new International Terminal Building, the International Airport Hospital, and the Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.
President Tinubu will also commission the Airport-Okopedi Road in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas and Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
Other projects, according to the statement, include the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.
On Saturday, the statement continues, President Tinubu will leave for Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to take part in the All Progressives Congress rally.
The rally, it said, will be his third, since he flagged off the re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
The visits will also give President Tinubu opportunities to engage with political stakeholders, party members, and supporters while emphasising unity, political stability, and a shared commitment to national progress.
