Suspended Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Nasarawa State, Adamu Bako, has officially resigned his membership, according to reports.
In a letter dated April 15, 2026, addressed to the PDP Ward chairman in Agyaga, Akwanga LGA, Bako called his exit a “painful but necessary” step.
He cited the need for peace, personal safety, and a new political home that aligns with his leadership values.
“This allows me to keep pushing forward with my supporters and mentees on a platform that fits my vision,” Bako wrote.
Despite his long loyalty to PDP, which he once cherished and defended, he’s now charting a fresh path amid the party’s turmoil.
The move follows his recent suspension over alleged gross misconduct and anti-party activities, spotlighting Nasarawa PDP’s deepening crisis.
